Fun for the whole family! DC League of Super-Pets is a fantastic addition to the DC superhero film franchise. Our favorite DC superhero characters come to life as pets in this new action-packed family film!
After Superman’s home Kyrpton is destroyed he is sent down to earth with a trusty companion, his super-pet Krypto. As Superman and the Justice League are kidnapped by a hairless hamster, Lex Luther’s pet Lulu; Krypto and his unlikely pet friends ban together to save them.
It is great seeing Batman (Keanu Reeves), Superman (John Krasinski), Green Lantern, The Flash (John Early), Aquaman (Jemaine Clemente), and Cyborg (Daveed Diggs) aka the Justice League in a cartoon form. This film is perfect for a family movie night! It has the perfect mix of action, comedy and adventure. DC League of Super-Pets brings back arguably the best Hollywood duo to the the big screens, Kevin Hart and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. As the characters are familiar and recognizable throughout the story I love how the writers shaped them with new personalities, quirks and even genders. It is like rediscovering these superhero classic favorites all over again. My favorite character is Ace in this film. Kevin Hart embodied his Pitbull character really well. The comedy and punchlines landed every-time which is greatly appreciated.
The message in DC League of Super-Pets is that growth is inevitable and good for you and those around you. This film contains some suggestive language.
I give DC League of Super-Pets 4 out of 5 stars and I recommend it for ages 5 to 18, plus adults. It releases in theaters July 27, 2022. You don’t want to miss it!
